Infrastructure Engineer

What Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking an engineer with strong UK-based design experience who understands the challenges of below-ground and above-ground infrastructure delivery, from feasibility to construction.

You will work closely with architects, planners, and developers to deliver integrated solutions that address transport access, site drainage, road alignment, utility coordination, and sustainable design targets.

The successful candidate will have a range of experience to cover the below:

Core Attributes and Knowledge Should Include:

• Civil engineering degree (BEng/MEng) and working towards chartership (MICE)
• Minimum 6–8 years of UK infrastructure design experience
• Proficiency in infrastructure design tools such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Flow, InfoDrainage, or similar
• Strong technical knowledge in the design of:
  • On-site and off-site drainage (SuDS, foul, attenuation)
  • S278/S38 highways works
  • Utilities coordination
  • Earthworks and site levels
• Familiarity with relevant UK design standards (e.g., DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations, CIRIA C753, etc.)
• Ability to prepare technical reports, drainage strategies, and coordinate planning submissions
• Experience liaising with local authorities, water companies, statutory undertakers, and clients
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to sustainable design and quality delivery
